Description

I found an old bridal lehenga on Ebay and loved it but desperately wanted to turn it into a dress. How hard could that be? Apparently a lot harder than I thought.

Most of this is hand sewn to avoid destroying all of the bead work which was crazy enough but for those that are not familiar with Indian clothing, pieces like sari's and lehengas do not always have symmetry because of the way it's designed to be worn. SO this thing had NO symmetry outside of the bodice and cutting around that and trying to piece it all back together was CRAZY. Glad GLAD GLAD it's over lol. My back is killing me over this one haha. There was so much that had to be done I cannot begin to force myself to re-type it all and have to relive it lol. Just know that I know have a nasty migraine from being bent over this thing the last few days without much sleep. XD

The actual color of this piece is a beautiful dark purple burgundy but for whatever reason, my camera decided it was red. >.>
