This is a one-of-a-kind, handmade gown that is half hand-stitched and half machine sewn and was completely designed and created by me. It is covered in beautiful lace accents and trims. The color scheme ranges in white, cream, off-white, and champagne. The gown is incredibly soft and whimsical.
A low cut back makes for a sexy, yet elegantly fairytale-esque appeal. Beautiful white ruffles with pearl accents drape over the breast and cream ribbon and crocheted trim drapes down the front in a "V" shape. The base gown is a rich cream with a slight shimmer to the fabric. Three panels of lace come down in a "V" pattern in the front to match the trim that are see-through. Wrapping around the front and into the back is a vintage dark champagne lace and satin piece to give the lighter pieces of the gown an elegant contrast.
The back of the gown has white satin that cascades down the back of the gown from behind the arms and bustles in the middle. Sitting atop that, is a beautiful bustled panel of cream, vintage lace. A second layer of it falls out from underneath the bustle all the way to the train. Above that is a ruffled piece of vintage laces. Adorning the base of the lower back, sits a stunning beaded piece with pearls, beads, and pale purples, pinks, greens, and yellows in the pearlescent sequins.
The bottom of the champagne satin and lace has a wonderful cream gimp trim that circles around the back of the gown and to finish it off, a train of layered vintage lace about a foot long drapes off the back.
I had a woman ask me that once when I went to a restaurant after ren faire last year. She came out of no where and nearly jumped me over my headdress. Totally scared the crap out of me but it's a great compliment LOL.
Thank you so much!! I make a lot of them out of old nightgowns that I cannibalize so they're generally soft and gentle to wear. (:
I'm glad you like my work and I appreciate your wonderful comments!
Oh my god this is beautiful!!! How long did it take you to make? Is it completely made by you from scratch or is it an altered dress? Oh i wish i had 300 to blow lol but i have to save for my trip to california. Oh STOP MAKING SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO BUY!!!! YOU'LL MAKE ME BROKE!!! lol
Hahaha a couple months on this one actually. It's 90% hand sewn so it was quite the process. XD The very bottom of it was original a single-layer cream vintage nightgown and the rest is me. The nightgown was an Olga Bodysilk which runs at a cost of 150-300$ by themselves. /shot My mom gave it to me but I never wear Olga's. Haha!! <3 Well thank you! ^~^ Nooo don't need you broke when you have a California trip!! Well, I finished it back in November and it has yet to sell so you never know lol.
Thanks! Yeah, my sister doesn't enjoy modeling for me so I had to get 'em quick and I thought I had more and I totally didn't. XD There's one here: [link] That's it until I can get it re-photographed. XDDD I'm glad you like it! ^~^ And thanks for the fave! <3
