Black Lavender - Side and Back

I completely forgot to upload this haha! I made this piece back in April of 2011 for my gallery opening but ended up running out time to finish it. So happy to have another piece for myself!! My goal is to one day, have a closet full of my own creations. <3

Three pieces: bustier, button top with kimono sleeve, and button on bustle. It's shown here with a black lave petticoat underneath it. A lot of patience in this one as I didn't use a pattern for any of it. It started out as a floor length piece but I made some adjustments to that as I liked it better at this length. I hand-dyed the purple chiffon ruffle trim and did the hammering by hand for the grommets too. Lol that really upset my dogs and my parents who were wondering what on earth all the banging was coming from my bedroom. XD

Materials: lavender charmeuse, black venise lace, black embroidered lace, netted black lace, vintage black glass beads, black venise applique, spiral steel boning, black satin lace-up for bustier, and hand-dyed lavender chiffon ruffle trim.
