This is amazing!! I absolutely love it! and I love how you left the entire skull in place on the piece as well xD Can't wait to get to work on the piece for you for our trade - think I am forgoing what I made before because I feel I've improved so stylistically since then (and I'm better at metalworking and such lol) so I designed a whole new piece which I am SO excited about!
Hahaha THANKS! This is actually a raccoon's skull in the center with roe deer horns attached and then the ram horns. So technically, yeah but they're from three different animals haha. Dude... Tuesday was my last day of classes so you bet your butt I'm going to have your headdress done by next week! You'll probably have it in time to wear for New Years! ;D
Oohhh haha well you do what you want! I totally understand... I'm glad I waited on yours too because I've been working on new techniques for building these things better and I really nailed it with this last one so I'm excited! I totally get it! I came back from all this time off and I don't know if it was just the fact that I went on such a long break or what but I've gotten a lot better too. Always a great feeling! I can't wait to see what you have in store! Your new metal work on your FB page is fantastic! LOVE the jellyfish omg haha!!! <3
Ah I see! I thought it looked small xD In any case it looks wonderful! I saw the saddest raccoon in the road the other week. I stopped, but he wouldn't move for some reason (he didn't look injured) I beeped my horn to try to scare him off but he just stayed there. Think maybe he was rabid =/ In any case there was no raccoon when I came back so I think he left. Ugh. I felt awful just leaving him.
Yep! I am now done with classes as well and I am excited to be back to working on crafts! I've been doing a bunch of commissions that needed to be finished before Christmas so hopefully I can finish both the things for you and for my friend soon xD Would you be able to tell me the circumference of your arm just above the elbow? Someplace where it would be comfortable for you to wear a cuff xD You could do higher up on the bicep if you prefer but probably if you think you could stand it just above the elbow would work best for what I'm thinking. >.>
I'm not totally sure what happened with me! I think a lot of it was the summer-long break I took, and a lot of it was just the fact that I really started to do some more serious metal and textiles classes at school xD I swapped my major from Art Education to Crafts, and I feel like that somehow helped mature my style and level of craftsmanship somehow LOL
Thank you! Would you like a jellyfish? xD I can make one to go along with the other thing I'm making for you, since I've been semi-worried about whether it will be worth enough to even everything out fairly xD
Haha tiny ram!!! XD Aww... yeah usually when they don't act normal or don't have a fear of things like cars or humans like that, they're rabid. It's really sad... I saw one one year literally right on Christmas Eve that had been hit by a car. It's head was split open and it could barely walk and it was dragging itself around in circles on the road. Omg... worst Christmas ever....
Yay for craft time and no more homework!! So glad I don't go back until the end of January haha. I only signed up for three classes in the Sping since I didn't need a full load to finish. Thank goodness! Hopefully that means I can continue crafting and drawing even through the semester. I'm sure you can get your stuff done in time!
Whoa... you have a Crafts major?! Omg that's so AWESOME! No kidding that's probably what did it! I switched to Liberal Arts and Business since I transferred schools and that's the only way I could get all my credits to transfer haha. And since we talked about everything else via Skype... (;
