these look great - I love how they're very sketchy looking but translate as so realistic when you view them as thumbnails; did you use a reference for them?

Thank you! I'm usually very slow when I draw so I like to bust out the charcoal or ballpoint pen every now and again and be as quick as possible. The middle is my own foot and the others were photos.

I know what you mean; I'm very slow too.. but I try not to let myself get away without practicing drawing more quickly. Well, you did a great job!

Haha yeah, it's great to practice it every now and again. Thanks! I usually use a reference of either myself or friends to do quick things like this so I don't have to think about much other than getting my point across. Used to do a really fun exercise when I was in college where I would sit someone in front of me and then would draw what they looked like from the opposite angle. That one was tons of fun. XDD

That does sound fun! Yeah, I need to do more live figure drawing stuff. There's actually parties in SF at venues where we do crazy live drawing.. the models are usually burlesque dancers that dress up all crazy (although once it was a roller derby team). That's fun enough to make me want to brave the crowds and do some drawing.

It is! Oh wow; you should totally do that! I bet something like that is fantastic to draw to. I think this year I'm going to take a sketchbook to Ren Faire and sit in different spots during the shows and draw them all haha.

Awesome! you can guess the posture of the whole body by the position of the feet, they're so expressive!
for me, hands and feet are just extremely important (call it fetish if you wish))))

You definitely can and they add so much to the model's expression in my opinion. Haha yeah I've had a few people label it as a fetish but I really just enjoy their expressive nature just like someone's smile or a look in their eye. I think it's the same kind of thing just through a different outlet on the body.

True, and watching somebody's hands also adds very much to my perception of the person. They, like, repeat the body language in miniature.

Some people definitely think so but I'm a dancer so there's so much they allow dancers to do and so I find them really beautiful. (:

(Though some people don't take care of them at all and that can be scary D: )

I don't like the way they wrinkle on the bottom. I don't usually get to see that so it's okay C:

Ah yeah I have a few friends that don't like that either. I really think it's expressive like the way the skin wrinkles in the face and hands but that might be an artist thing or just personal preference; I have no idea. XDDD

Thank you! Yeah, they're not the easiest things to do draw. Just grab you some charcoal or pastel sometime and go nuts! It's great practice and really helps you get better. (:

Whenever I see pictures Of feet, I can always feel mine.
With the movement in them and the wrinkles of folding kin, yeah its strange but to make a long story short,
I can really basically feel the texture and movement of the feet.
:I
And man...err...woman...do you draw feet good.
